Globotom is different in many ways. Though his music sounds like he has a lot of synthesizers, effect gadgets and traditional acoustic and analogue instruments in his studio, it is entirely made just on an iPad. That‘s what makes him independent in his creative process. As he is a real Globetrotter having visited nearly 120 countries around the world, he loves to make music wherever he stays. Many of his songs are downtempo ballads, Ambient, New Age and Chillout tunes. But you find also Prog and Techno. Globotom crosses borders not only while traveling, but also by making music. During the last years his success and popularity grew steadily. Globotom performed live onboard cruise ships, for the Apollo 11 jubilee, at the famous Tempelliaukio Rock Church in Helsinki and other locations. At the prestigious Schallwelle Award for electronic music he was elected seven times (2017-2023) in the Top 20 list „Artist of the Year“ by a jury and fans. (T. Albertsen) Spannend ist es, auch mal etwas links und rechts vom ausgetreten Pfad des eigenen Geschmacks zu wandern. Für mich ist "Globotom" so ein Fall. Klassische Elektronik findet sich hier ebenso wie Ausflüge zu orchestraler Filmmusik, Jazz, Ambient und Progressive Rock. Ein Musiker, der offensichtlich das dadaistische Prinzip verinnerlicht hat, dass der Kopf rund ist, damit man in alle Richtungen gleich gut denken kann. (Dr. A. Arnold)
