Daniel Gaede was born in Hamburg in 1966. He studied with Thomas Brandis, Max Rostal and Josef Gingold. As soloist he has performed with the Vienna Philharmonic, Philharmonia Orchestra London, City of London Sinfonia, Korean National, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony, NCPA Symphony Beijing, Radio Symphony Berlin, Berliner Barock Solisten, Polish Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra Mozart with the conductors Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, Richard Hickox, Michael Tilson Thomas and others. Daniel Gaede has made CD recordings for Sony, Deutsche Grammophon, Tacet, Cpo, Largo and Octavia Records. From 1994-2000 he was concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2000 he has been professor at the Nuremberg Music University. —————————
