Dave Nelson is a trombonist, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Upstate, NY. Much of his music fuses horn and electronics to create multi-layered improvisations that develop organically into transportive compositions. Dave is a member of Pfarmers along with Bryan Devendorf (The National) and Danny Seim (Menomena), as well as Nelson Patton, an electroacoustic duo built around trombone, drums and Moog bass. As a session player and side man, Dave has collaborated with The National, Sufjan Stevens, Taylor Swift, David Byrne/St. Vincent, Mumford And Sons, Vampire Weekend, Lonnie Holley and many more.
