I’m CG the GOAT. I was born and raised in Memphis. I’m a only child. I dropped out of college freshmen year in 2013 and I’ve been making music ever since. I purchased my home studio off Amazon in 2016. I’ve been responsible for writing, recording, mixing, mastering my music for the past 7 years. I’m a strong advocate for self suffiency! I have a hard time effectively describing my sound. My biggest influences are Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Kanye West. Everything I create is unique to me. I take pride in my lyrical ability and I showcase it often. There is always emphasis placed on the quality of songwriting. I was a decent lyricist for quite some time, but it took me years to write a great song. These days I’m as comfortable putting together a melody as I am piecing together similes and metaphors. I don’t know where I fit in with other artists. However, I know I’ll always have an audience for what I do because I make great music.
