Montclaire is Portland-based artist Sabrina Velazquez. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, she gained a dedicated following in her hometown performing with her acoustic guitar under the name Sabrina. Her love of indie rock and dream pop led her to explore a louder sound that married synthesizers and electric guitars. She shifted her focus and created Montclaire. Releasing in Jan. 2022, "West Coast" is her first project with producer and collaborator, Bess Rogers (Secret Someones, Ingrid Michaelson, Bess Rogers). The new EP explores feelings of self-discovery and isolation over the course of 2020-2021.
