audiodrop are shoog & mezzano,both DJs in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin, Germany They began to produce electronic Music in 1996. They were producing techno, house, ambient and progressive tracks and were also working on electronic film scores. After founding the "Eastside Studios" in the eastern harbour of Frankfurt, they had enough space to develop a live and performance set, not only based on sequencers and electronic music equipment. They also included guitars & basses, saxophones and other toys to put their music on another level. Their performances came with self-produced visuals and videos. While mezzano left the band and the label in 2016, the studios moved to the north of Frankfurt. Now, out in the green but almost in the middle of a great and vibrant city, shoog keeps on making music for both lounges and dancefloors. He started - like many other self-proclaimed DJs these years - with New Wave, Wave, Independent and also Funk, Disco and even Rock. But the dawn of a really new and outrageous music was breaking. In 1992, shoog moved to Frankfurt, which was one of the three up to five epicentres of House and Techno. House, Techno, Trip Hop & Dub. Those were these days. Clubs like XS, The Box, Dorian Gray, Omen, just to mention a few, were his playgrounds. Although never planning to reach the top of the pops, shoog and his communities like audiodrop and socialhouse (soho frankfurt) were and are firmly established in the area of Frankfurt am Main.
