Norwegian folkmusician Sigrid Moldestad is an artist with a rare gift for conveying beautiful melancholy and playful force. Her musical roots is the traditional folk music of her hometown Breim in Northwestern Norway. With this foundation she has built a unique expression, mixing traditions with new ideas from folk, pop and other genres. Sigrid Moldestad lives in Bergen and plays a lot of concerts all around the country with her own band. She has released 6 soloalbums and has received several prizes for her work, among them “Folkmusician of the year” in 2010.
