Biography

Infinitefreefall is an experimental pop project from Charleston, South Carolina. This long-running outlet for frontman/producer Maxton Stenstrom resists easy classification, fashioning a vast array of influences into a kaleidoscopic wall of sound with hooky and arresting songwriting, morphing and contorting its vision at emotional whim. Over a decade of production and remixes for artists such as St. South and Kaizër, as well as recent years’ relentless touring has brought the project tens of thousands monthly listeners on Spotify, and millions of streams across YouTube, SoundCloud, and more. After releasing several electronic EPs throughout the late 2010s (catalogued on "Terminal Velocity: Early Works, 2010-2018") and 2022's debut dream pop LP "Graceful Exit", last year's "Catastrophe Magnet" expanded the sound to include more rock elements. "Belief Systems", the new album arriving later this year, leans further into shoegaze, krautrock, garage-punk, and psychedelic tendencies, proudly representing the loudest and most adventurous music ever recorded under this moniker.
