Chiara Civello is a singer-songwriter originally from Rome, whose artistic life is divided between Italy, the United States and Brazil. Neither pop nor jazz, very far from musical classifications, with six albums out and avidly open to the world, her music could be defined by a series of oxymorons: naturally sophisticated, global and Italian. In Boston and New York she forms artistically and comes into contact with characters such as Burt Bacharach James Taylor and Tony Bennett. She is the first Italian to record for the legendary Verve label. In Brazil he finds another home collaborating with Chico Buarque, Ana Carolina, Gilberto Gil and many others. Adventurous person and artist, she has absorbed the cultures of the continents she has crossed and today she speaks and sings in English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and French, without ever taking up residence, neither in a city, nor in a style. She plays the piano and the guitar.
