Biography

The New Seekers were formed in 1969 and consisted of Eve Graham, Lyn Paul, Marty Kristian, Paul Layton ,Peter Doyle and Peter Oliver (73-74). Following world wide hits with Look What They've Done To My Song Ma and Never Ending Song Of Love the group scoured even greater success with I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing, a song which began life as a Coca-Cola jingle. In 1972 the group were runners up at The Eurovision Song Contest with Beg Steal Or Borrow, embarked on sold out UK tour and continued with further top ten hits such as Circles, Pinball Wizard, You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me and I Get A Little Sentimental Over You. In 1976 with two new group members , Danny Finn and Kathy Anne-Rae they enjoyed further success with I Wanna Go Back and Anthem and continued to play concerts around the world. Paul Layton continues to lead the group, continuing to tour and enjoying album success with a Greatest Hits compilation Been Too Long which went top 20 and a recent box set of the group's work 1970 to 1973. Without doubt one of the UK's successful and talented vocal group's of the 70's. The New Seekers Official Page on facebook
