Kamryn Culberson a.k.a Slaazo Kidd was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on December 5th, 2001. An alumni of Lafayette High School and Webster University, Culberson from a young age has always been interested in the arts and music. Due to his grandmother, he participated in his church’s choir, and decided to take up the violin and then later bass in school. Even though Culberson primarily makes Rap and Hip-Hop music he is inspired by genres like R&B, Blues, Jazz, & Funk also. Inspired by artists like XXXTENTACION, Michael Jackson, J. Cole, etc. Culberson started his music career in 2018 after the death of XXXTENTACION. Going under the name of Domino, he started it as a hobby not caring too much about it or the numbers that came with it. Culberson had a very rocky start trying to find his sound due to the quality of the resources he had at the time. He put out many songs and projects exclusively on YouTube and SoundCloud. In 2019, he would change to the moniker, Slaazo Kidd. Culberson started to take the craft more seriously in 2021. This is when he came up with the slogan, “content equals quality” meaning no matter where you are in your career as long as you have content in your music you will always have quality. Now he sits at over 15K streams across all platforms and has worked with the likes of James Gay, LA Odyssey, nobodybutsunder, JP of LNG & many more. Culberson hopes to shine a spotlight on the talent of Saint Louis and all that the city brings to music.
