my name is judie. i grew up in ok but i now live in az. i been making music casually with my cousins for over 10 years now. 2023 we decided as a group, to release a new music video on our CUZZY BUDDIES youtube channel (52 videos in total), as an attempt to gain some type of audience to follow along our music journey with us. long story short it didn't really work. january 2024, after PROJECT52 ended, when we were supposed to be taking a well needed break, i stayed in the studio. i began songwriting over my own production for the very first time, and after 6 weeks, "what will this do to my soul?" was created. it took me many more months after that before it was finished, but I think I am finally at the point where I am proud to show it to "the world" (aka a few 10s of strangers). tho PROJECT52 didnt "work" the way we had planned, i do not regret a thing. I think in the age of the internet, it's more important that i create and release art, than to become famous. and in regards to this album, it isn't perfect by any means. i made it in my bedroom using splice loops and logic stock sounds and plugins, mixed by my younger brother and all the visuals were taken on an iPhone, shot by my cousins. but despite all that, i am very happy with it. which is not a sentiment I have always had when it comes to perfection. thank you for listening. thank you for reading. create your own art. and enjoy this imperfect life.
