Antoni Rossell is professor of Romance Philology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and director of the Arxiu Occità (Institut d'Estudis Medievals, UAB). He is a member of the Centre Interuniversitaire d'Histoire et d'Archéologie Médiévales - CIHAM of the École Normale Supérièure de Lyon. Member of the editorial boards of the magazines Roda da Fortuna (Electronic Journal about Antiquity and Middle Ages); of Nuevas de Indias (CEAC Yearbook); Medievalia (UAB-IEM); and IACA: Artes da Cena, among others. He has published several books, articles and recordings dedicated mainly to poetry, novel and music of the Middle Ages. Darrerament has published the electronic book Frederic Mistral i Catalunya, with Hélène Rufat (Biblioteca de Catalunya, Barcelona 2018), and Flamenca (Edit. Anem, Andorra 2019). He directs the collection of E-Books "Escrits i memòria" of the Biblioteca de Catalunya. He is a performer of medieval music and director of the C. Courtly Music Consort. In 2018 he was awarded the Enderrock prize for the best classical music CD, Enderrock, for the album Las Cantigas de Santa María by Alfonso X el Sabio y Galicia (Columna música 2017). Scholarship by the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung to carry out comparative studies of literature and epic music.
