Southeast Missouri power trio, rock act Blind Velvet are renowned for turning crowds wild with their unique take on quintessential southern hard rock music. Formed in 2016, Blind Velvet went through their growing pains with multiple member changes and musical influence but solidified their current line up and continued to adapt their sound in 2020. Guitarist and singer Big Al Newton and drummer Evan Irwin along with newcomer bassist and singer Matt “Fuzz” Woodard took their sound and vision to any stage that would have them. Clocking in at 40 live performances that year alone. In 2020 they released their first self-released album “We Are All Doomed”, garnering a growing buzz around the southeast Missouri music scene. Within a year, almost to the date, they released their 2021 self-released album “Death of a Free Man”, continuing to gain more and more local exposure. By 2022 they had balanced playing live shows and recording their 3rd self-released album “One Foot In The Grave”. While promoting these albums they were able to share the stage with the likes of Niko Moon, Powder Mill, Giovanni & The Hired Guns, Jon D. Hale Band and Scott Haggard. Blind Velvet continues to grow musically, in popularity and in eagerness as they work on their 4th album slated for Spring/Summer of 2024.
