Constantly moving places in his childhood, James found a true home in electronic music. A lust for seeking something deeper, more expressive yet so esoteric had emerged. Passionate to create his own world through rhythm and sound, a fusion of the future and the past, place Hacobb among a new generation of producers ready to continue the legacy of memorable stories told on the dancefloor. 2020 has been a standout for the Greek/Scottish producer. His debut on Canadian label Modern Agenda turned heads and the big man Sasha had his track ‘All That Injures Lies Within’ on heavy rotation around the globe. Solid releases on labels such as Collective States’ High Tide Recordings and Paul Hazendonk’s Manual Music came next, before dropping a single on Booka Shade’s mighty Blaufield imprint, while keeping busy on remix duties for various projects. It wasn’t long after the legendary Pete Tong introduced Hacobb to the BBC Radio 1 audience with his track ‘Kite’, also receiving warm reaction on Days Like Nights radio shows by Dutch hero Eelke Kleijn. More support on his ever expanding discography has followed from the likes of Hot Since 82, Petar Dundov, Anthony Pappa & Karotte just to name a few.
