Bad Ape, an old school conscientious rapper who delivers positive motivational music with his own unique individual style. Having lived in various parts of the country the artist now resides in Oxford. Growing up, his parents separated when he was eight, subsequently he lost his grandmother who was a huge influence in the family home, both occurrences had a deep effect. By ten he was introduced to hip-hop and what manifested was his love of rap music, listening to legends such as Dead Prez, NWA and his favourite artist 2 Pac their music swiftly became his healing tool. Moving through to adulthood & facing life’s challenges, writing became a way of expression, from poetry to rap lyrics he began the exchange of writing & rhyming and working on his rap style. In 2018 after meeting with some rappers from High Wycombe they formed the group “Alien Nation” and went on to secure ten live performances. Following on from there he teamed up with a band to perform a song related to suicide prevention, “reflections” which received memorable feedback. His recent track “true story” was played in BBC introducing Oxford. Bad Ape, a true to himself artist aims to deliver music that motivates.
