In one respect Bremner was in the right place at the right time as a noted increase in guitar playing occurred during the management of his business; a number of orders came in for what were guitar arrangements and instructions probably written by Bremner's his son. He also met the continuing demands for music from the Edinburgh Musical Society; he even represented the EMS in London and Dublin. As his business grew he was enabled to open an office in London.
