Alan J is a multi-talented musician, singer/songwriter and MC based in Dubai. The Canadian native has grown to become one of the Middle East’s most versatile entertainers and has performed at some of the best venues and festivals in the region. Musically, Alan J takes his inspiration from Caribbean, Latin, Afro, Urban and Soul, creating his own unique brand of high-energy feel-good music that’s designed to make you move. Alongside his impressive back catalogue, Alan J is well-known for his dynamic collaborations with up-and-coming artists and has worked with a diverse range of musicians, including SammYoung, Ramzy Shaar, Stu Laurie, BigSoof, Makan, Claudia Lang-Lenton, Toi Dupras, Jin Flora, Ramzi K, and Janet Gabriel. Alan is currently the MC at Bla Bla, one of Dubai’s biggest and most innovative venues, where he hosts Ducking Friday and their Karaoke open mic nights. He also has music residencies at Lucky Voice in Grand Millennium Hotel, where he performs original songs and covers with Carlito's Way every Wednesday night. He’s previously held down long-term residencies at The Music Room and Hard Rock Cafe and also performed alongside huge global names including Liam Gallagher and Toni Braxton. As well as gigs at some of the best clubs and bars in the UAE, Alan was the MC host for the sold-out Rewind Festival at Bla Bla featuring Marc Almond, Tony Hadley and M People’s Heather Small.
