Xori Amar describes his art as a melodic fusion of R&B and rap. While enrolled at Morehouse College, Amar made a name for himself with the releases of Honest Hour, Vol. 1 (2017) + Vol. 2 (2018). His first album, melody LN, was released in October 2020.
 Born in 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia, Xori Amar Teran Johnson’s music career began with Garage Band + Apple headphones in the basement of his parent's house. Throughout middle + high school, Xori actively participated in choir programs + became known for his poetry; competing in talent shows + cabarets. Poetry + spoken word led him to organically transition into songwriting September of 2015. 
 Xori attributes his musical evolution to the importance of "time" - the biggest influence on his identity as an artist. This influence shines through his poetic use of the hourglass + red rose - symbols embedded into all aspects of his art. 
 Time spent studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain introduced Xori to the creative genius of painters Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali who have made a large impression on Xori‘s art - alongside music moguls Drake, Big Sean, Travis Scott, Kanye West, and fellow Atlanta native, 6LACK. 
 Xori Amar is currently signed to Hourglass Management + Entertainment, an Atlanta based creative talent collective co-founded with his manager and producer, Ian Laurie (ENL).
