Sarah Maria Sun is known as one of the foremost and most extraordinary performers in the classical contemporary music scene. Her repertoire currently spans more than 1000 compositions from the 16th to the 21st centuries, including more than 350 world premieres. She worked in close relationship with a wide variety of composers. She performs in well known venues around the globe with orchestras, ensembles and conductors. The North German Radio (NDR) has dedicated portrait concerts to her in 2012, 2016 and 2018. In 2017 for her role as "Elsa" in the monodrama “Lohengrin” by Salvatore Sciarrino and in 2019 as "Gwen" in “Psychoses 4.48” by Philip Venables she was nominated as Singer of the Year. Her discography contains more than 30 CDs, of which many have been nominated for or awarded with prizes. Sarah is also an illustrator and author of children's books and produces and composes songs in the band "Incidents".
