ASM Keeno is lacing up for the marathon. The seventeen-year-old from West Sydney is mid-way through year twelve at high school and putting the finishing touches on his first project. Signed to Say Less Music Group, ASM Keeno or Keeno for short creates thoughtful, timeless music that evokes all manner of emotions through the teenage lens of hope and imagination. Developing in a makeshift family studio from age six with his father’s help, Keeno became comfortable with a range of instruments, melodies, tempos, genres and recording equipment. It wasn’t long before he was recording 5-6 covers a day and discovering the process of writing, arranging, and recording. It’s this curiosity that comes naturally to young people; you can hear he’s absorbed a lot of style and culture in a short amount of time. Similarly, he incorporates his real-life experiences and emotions into the music with complex vocal melodies and harmony stacks to accompany the messages in his lyrics.
