Jeanfrançois Prins is a melodic storyteller with an immediately recognizable sound and style. His vocabulary runs the gamut of jazz guitar. A sought-after leader, accompanist and guest soloist, he is Belgium's most international jazz guitarist, having spent most of his career between NYC and Berlin. He recently moved back to Brussels. Prins enjoys risk-taking improvisation and organic interaction. His lyrical fusion of romance and hard-swinging guitar is influenced by his encounters with many styles of music. He has spent his life as a professional musician, composer, arranger, producer and educator- performing, recording and collaborating internationally with many Jazz giants. Jeanfrançois has released 7 CDs as a leader, the 8th "Blue Note Mode" recorded at a legendary studio with top NYC musicians will be released on March 1, 2024. One can hear him as a guest soloist or sideman on more than 50 other CDs.
