Lúi Pirata is a rap artist with a shadowy backstory shrouded in mystery. Some say he was born in Ireland, others believe he crossed the Irish sea at a young age in search of adventure. Legend has it that he used to go by a different alias, and was a member of several crews who roamed the Irish rap scene back in the golden age of Irish hip hop's evolution. Word is that much of his work has long since been lost to the deep, yet to this day, whispers in many a tavern tell tales of the lyrical prowess, multisyllabic double time flows, charisma and energy that this emcee did wield. After that, he vanished, rumoured to have made his way to over to Spain, although some say he crossed the Atlantic and spent some time in South America. His current whereabouts is unknown. Out of the blue, he returned in 2019 as Lúi Pirata, with a single produced by DJ Flip, entitled 'Show Them All'. What lies ahead, who can say?
