Jay Whoke was born in 1998 in Palermo, in Southern Italy, and a big passion for music was born along with him. A big helping hand was given by his older brother Giorgio (Oro DJ), who worked as a DJ during the 90’s and the early 2000’s, and introduced him to the musical career and its world. While Jay Whoke was still inside the womb, Giorgio used to put headphones on his mother’s belly while playing old-school dance music, and this had to be the beginning of his bond with this kind of music. After years spent just listening to music, he decided to start producing on his own at the age of 12 using his full name (Roberto Ciminna). From May 2015 he started to produce by the name of Jay Whoke, receiving big support from fellow Italians, but also from people from all around the world. He also receives support and appreciation from well-known DJs, such as Nari & Milani, Timmy Trumpet, Tigerlily, DJs From Mars, Julian Calor, Joey Dale, Prezioso & Marvin, DJ Anny, ANGEMI, and MorganJ, who collaborated with him for the bootleg of the track "Kygo ft. Conrad - Firestone".
