Otherhalf is a London-based music production and DJ partnership consisting of duo DJ Carina Lawrence and her husband Kim. Originally from Australia, and with a musical background etched in South African roots, this in-sync pair form a fresh and dynamic combo, as seen through both their slick productions and their mesmerising DJ sets. Harmonious. Balanced. Deeply personal. Their deep connection to one another and the music engenders a unique narrative in every set they play, embarking on a seamless journey across space, time and genre. Having a true passion and love for the scene ensures they will not settle for the established or the boring, preferring to tread a new path, with an emphasis on creating auditory alchemy from eclectic and far-reaching influences. Their love of the more melodic aspects of house and techno, deep, afro-house and progressive defines their genre-fused and diverse sound. This is encapsulated in their debut release on Melbourne-based label UGENIUS, representing a serious statement of intent, with big things still to come from the talented pair.
