Italian pianist, degreed with Benedetto Lupo, and also studied with Christian Zacharias, Joaquin Achúcarro, François-Joël Thiollier, Konstantin Bogino and Aldo Ciccolini. He won several prizes in national and international competitions, including: Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition (IPC), Liszt IPC (with Martha Argerich in the jury), Thalberg IPC, Ibla IMC, San Nicolaus IPC. In 2008 he was awarded at the "Umanitaria" Society in Milan by Claudio Abbado. An exclusive artist of the label OnClassical, Maurizio Zaccaria recorded several albums including: Massenet: Piano Works, Gershwin: Complete Piano Works, J.S. Bach: Inventions & Duets, J.S. Bach: Sinfonias and the complete cycle of the Beethoven: (Complete) Piano Sonatas. Maurizio Zaccaria plays in duo with flutist Leonardo Grittani and cellist Gaetano Simone.
