Biography

Born in Hope, Salford and currently living in Shropshire. I started really listening to music, when hip hop tunes first arrived in the UK and I was fascinated by the Street Sounds catalogue of Electro albums. I was intrigued by the way this new music was made, by using samples of already brilliant pieces of music. I became interested more in where the samples were from, than the tunes themselves. By the age of 14 I was listening to Art of Noise, Kraftwerk, Jean Michel-Jarre and bits of classical music. At university, aged 19, I stumbled into djing at the Watershed, the student bar and began to build a record collection. Back in Manchester, after university I played records in lots of places and I started to manage a few bands. The bands Casino, Grace and The Sands, were due to play my first show at the famous Hacienda, the day after it closed for good. I moved to Beverly Hills, to be a nanny and became the inspiration for a character in Friends. My friends were in the band Alfie, which is the name that I came up with and I appear as a chicken, in the video for You Make No Bones.
I now write descriptive melodic-electronic tunes and do some collaborations 😎🎶
