Based in Berlin, Propellar is an electronic duo formed by Jan Grasmück and Justin Wildenhain. Their music strikes a balance between electronic music's driving rhythms and the mellowness of psychedelic indie pop, blending genres like organic house, electronica, techno and indie pop to create their distinct sound. Reverb-soaked electric guitars, oscillating tape delays, overdriven analogue synthesizers, warm organic drums and the distinct voice of singer Jan Grasmück are at the heart of their music. Influenced by artists such as Tame Impala and Weval, as well as electronic acts like Andhim and Super Flu, Propellar's live performances feature a mix of decks, vocals, guitar, analogue synthesizers, and effect pedals. Since their debut in late 2021, they have released singles on labels like Family Piknik Music, Stil vor Talent, ICONYC, and 3000 Grad. Propellar has performed across Europe, appearing at events like Feel Festival, Family Piknik Festival, Fusion Festival, Sisyphos, Mauerpfeiffer and many more.
