Akam is an artist and music producer born in Finland as a Kurdish Diaspora. He never grew up in one place, moving often between Finland and the UK which led to a hybrid upbringing of culture. For him finding a consistent and sustainable connection to a community was done on the internet. This is reflected in his expressive music characterized by hybrid genres and sounds. Akam drags a lot of inspiration from new-age movements and artists such as the PC Music roster, Bladee, Yeat, and many more.
