Atamone is a Montreal Inuk multidisciplinary Audio/Visual artist, producer, multi-instrumentalist, live performing artist, DJ, 3D artist, video game programmer, animator, graphic designer, photographer, videographer, philosopher, mentor, teacher, and creative consultant. Creating independently in the arts and entertainment scene as Atamone since 2011. An innovative pioneer, creative leader, and role model, driving current and past audio/visual technologies to their limits; exploring artistic possibilities and discovering creative solutions from various angles and degrees. With an artistic background in underground culture—hip-hop, graffiti, street art, dance, and DJ culture—and an academic background in sound engineering, film, animation, design and video game programming. Holding degrees in Sound Design for Visual Media, Visual Communication for Interactive Media, 3D Video Game Programming, and 3D Animation & Visual FX for Cinema. Embracing a hybrid approach that merges analog and digital universes for creative expression. Using computing technologies, hardware samplers, and drum machines to process, manipulate, and sequence live instruments, analog sounds, and visuals, Atamone simmers warmhearted rhythms and graceful melodies inspired by jazz, soul, hip-hop, and electronica.
