Biography

With a sound that bridges the infectious guitar-driven indie pop and the allure of electronic textures, Club Mild carve a path of their own. The Singaporean trio, comprising bassist David Siow, guitarist Tan Peng Sing, and Paddy Ong as lead vocalist, first found their collective rhythm within the confines of a university hall. Their raw indie-rock pop sound and invigorating live performances couldn't be contained, and it wasn't long before they were making waves. Their debut EP 'PAIRS' marked the onset of their ascent, heralded by breakout singles 'In Your Arms' and 'Ariel'. The former helped the band bag the Top Local English Pop Song award and the Young Artiste of the Year award at the 2018 COMPASS awards. JUICE Magazine hailed them as pioneers of Singapore's burgeoning indie-pop landscape, recognizing their boundless energy and distinctive musical fusion. The band's journey took them across Southeast Asia, China, and Spain, sharing stages with luminaries like Walk the Moon, Travis, Last Dinosaurs and Death Cab for Cutie. The single 'Distraction' off their second EP made waves internationally, earning the endorsement of esteemed magazines like DORK and Clash Magazine (UK), their sold-out EP launch show marking a leap into a grittier, more daring sound. As Club Mild, the trio readies themselves for an even bolder step into the spotlight. Their upcoming album, slated for release in 2024, promises to be an encapsulation of their growth and evolution.
