Born and raised in the music industry, Kim grew up singing in performing and singing at churches in NY. Kim graduated from Berklee college of music, where the seeds of entertainment & superstardom was planted. Kim worked and honed her craft by writing songs for herself and other artists. Her big vocals and catchy rhythmic records caught the attention of high-level publishing executives and landed her a publishing deal with Sony ATV/Stellar Music. With a new publishing relationship, she started working and writing songs for Lil Wayne, Christina Milian, Coco Jones and bands like the Summer Set. With a new found buzz, Kim caught the eye of Monte Lipman, President of Republic Records. As one of the label’s primary Spanish acts, Republic released her first single featuring Daddy Yankee called “Como.” After the success of “Como,” the label released a follow single featuring Pitbull titled, “Ay Ay Ay.” To support her project and build her brand, Kim toured with Sean Paul and performed at ACL and other popular festivals. But then the God changed her heart and desires which led her to answer the call to ministry. Kim abruptly left the secular music scene and started devoting her time and talent to glorify God. Kim says that she has never experienced the freedom she feels since she has surrendered her life, gifts, and desires to Christ. “My music is about finally finding true identity in Jesus and allowing him to set you free from yourself and the sin that so easily entangles.
