Sophie Rose is a storyteller with one hell of a story. Born and raised in the South West of England, Sophie’s unmistakably raw vocal and honest songwriting bring tales of overcoming, healing and strength. Coming from a versatile background, Sophie found her voice in country & folk with lyricism often reflecting her time performing as a spoken word poet and her vocals echoing the chaos and strength found along a road less travelled. Sophie’s debut single ‘Healing in the Burn’ a collaboration with Danny McMahon at Puzzle Maker Studios, hit the #1 spot on the iTunes UK Country charts, shortly followed by showcasing her debut EP ‘To the Core’ for Vision - a night fundraising for mental health at Bristol’s O2 Academy. In an interview on BBC Introducing Oxford, Sophie discussed the messaging behind the music, relaying the importance of kindness, community and ‘paying it forward’. Sophie lends her dynamic vocals and lyrics on collaborative projects such as Seasons with Teo Mandrelli & Tristan Carmichael released in June 2023.
