oddFelix started out as a high school, free-period rapper, and slid into spoken word, doing a couple of applauded performances before meeting J19. After a couple of performances in major cities around Nigeria, he put out a couple of spoken word and rap singles with themes around growing up, childhood, love, and perseverance. He then started Bigger Street, with the aim of helping some spoken word artists in Calabar gain some level of exposure. A failed outing made Bigger Street open up to other genres, attracting artists Pej, Ade Amuda and K.O.P Vibes. He has staged four editions of his own listening party called oddmas, releasing a song about his age on the same day as the event every year. He put out his first EP, Odd For President, in late 2022 which includes the fans' favorite, Fight (with Joy Njan), and his favorite song by himself, I. He, alongside SGM, is one of the pioneers of the term, autobiomusic—music with lyrics portraying personal experiences. A look at his discography reveals several songs in this genre, like I, 24 Years, 25 Years and 26 Years. oddFelix will be here for a while, making beautiful music and poetry, so follow this profile, for the good of your ears.
