The band RASK meets Christoffer Lundquist in Skåne. The man who toured with Roxette, was the bass player in Brainpool as well as recorded the great Swedish artists and received the Beatles producer George Martin's award. Christoffer tells us that the result, the upcoming album (Rask meets Lundquist) is the top 5 of the hundreds of albums he has made over the years. Roxette's producer Clarence Öfwerman exclaimed in unison with Gyllene Tider's organist Göran Fritzson that "it's a hit" when they got to be the test audience for the upcoming first single "Klövgöran". Anyone looking for references will perhaps find traces of the 70s: Kebnekajse, Dr. John, Jan Johansson and the entire rich and broad - and so emotionally strong - Swedish folk music tradition. But above all, the result breathes passion and life. It is organ-sight, it pulses and breathes and the contemporary digital pursuit of perfection that can so easily suffocate the power of the music is completely conspicuous by its absence. This is emotion and giving, love and dance, spontaneity and presence, in a nutshell. In the band's eyes, folk music is not a rule-governed museum tradition, but on the contrary a living genre that exists to be developed and challenged. That's when it becomes relevant. The original members Shiva on guitar, Aska on accordion and keyboard and Jonas on various flutes have initially been expanded with Katarina Hall on bass and Ronny Dahlberg as a stepping-in drummer. Now it begins!
