Hailing from the Inland Empire; a metropolitan area and region in Southern California just outside of Los Angeles, former collegiate basketball player turned recording artist Najih shifted his passion from the game of basketball to music and becoming a global artist. After years of relentless work, he taught himself how to produce and record and decided to forgo his college scholarship for basketball and embark on the journey of becoming an artist. Since then Najih has charted nationally, opened up for artists like Chief Keef and Nipsey Hussle and truly developed his sound as a recording artist. Described as therapy, Najih’s music masterfully combines elements of hip-hop, R&B, trap, Afro beats and pop to detail his life story. After experiencing the ins and outs of the music industry, Najih decided to turn over a new leaf and create his own label, Inland Records. While at Inland, Najih has explored other mediums of art such as designing Inland clothes and directing short films. With Inland Records, Najih hopes to shine light on the talented individuals in the Inland Empire and hopes to usher in a new era for hip-hop and music culture. As chapters close and new ones open, Najih recognizes it’s not just music, film, or business that he is passionate about. What he truly aligns with, is the ability to just create art and do it as a storyteller. Whether it’s witty lyrics to soulful sounds or directing his story in a screenplay, Najih only wants to inspire by creating.
