Raul, hailing from Porto, began creating around 2012 with direct influence from projects like Burial, Aphex Twin, and Boards of Canada. Through experimentation and the endeavor to incorporate everyday technology into his productions, he encountered one of his greatest influences to this day, Richie Hawtin. Since then, several projects emerged leading to the creation of zxzx at the end of 2019, already becoming one of the most recognized names in the Portuguese underground movement. With a sound that results from meticulous study across the foundations of past, present, and future within the spectrum of electronic music, having released on various labels worldwide and performed at the most renowned Portuguese clubs, it's hard for anyone to remain indifferent to what he brings to the dance floors or in his releases. The opportunity to showcase his art at events alongside Dax J, Alarico, Chlar, Patrick Mason, Mark Broom, or Temudo, among others, has demonstrated his dedication whether as an opening or closing act, always receiving excellent reviews and strong recommendations. Furthermore, his recent affiliation with the Porto collective Analytical Convenience, where he has already released the track "Berlin (I Miss You)", shows his immense commitment to fostering the development of other young artists and a cooperative spirit for the evolution of the local scene.
