My name is DMT, and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been writing for almost 30 years, but recently decided to pursue a new form of therapeutic remedy for myself. I truthfully always lacked the confidence and support to make this thing happen for myself. Then everything changed. I met my support system, which was a few rappers in my local area. I started as a fan, we became friends, which turned into family, and that's what brought life to DMT. I was writing much different material before I met these guys, so they truly did inspire who I am as DMT, the artist, and I am forever grateful, because this is the most authentic music I've written. I like to write about mental health, as i have various mental disorders and afflictions to get through. Most of my inspiration comes from King Iso, who is my favorite rapper. I write music as therapy for myself, rather than for others, and hope they relate. I like to take a simple concept and change your perspective, or expand the concept into a million parts to make you think of it in ways you never have before. kind of why i chose the name... The 513 is my heart and soul and it lives within me. I have already received every gift i ever wished to receive in this music journey. Everything else, is just a bonus.
