DJ Suro started DJing in 1998 in Hamburg. He loves music from Hip Hop, Soul to Afrobeat and Island. His love for Hip Hop led him to stages and festivals as a DJ playing his dynamic sets or as a live DJ for artists like the German rapper Dendemann (2006-2008). In 2009 and 2012 the avid vinyl collector released to LPs as one half of „Pitch & Scratch“ on the label Légère Recordings (HH). 2019 the record „Ruff, Rugged & Smooth“ from Seanie T was released on Nice Up Records (UK),- the LP is completely composed and produced by DJ Suro. SIngles were released like „Warning“, „Blaze Fire“, „More of it“ or „Veterans“ featuring artists like Roots Manuva, Rodney P and Black Twang from London and Chezidek and Little Hero from Jamaika. From 2014 to 2018 Suro was resident DJ at the Mojo-Club (HH) where he played longside people like Grandmaster Flash, Quantic, DJ Vadim & Farhot and supported bands from all over the globe with his electrying DJ sets. In 2023 the DJ Suro Beat EP was released which gives an insight into what is his true love: Beats filled with bass from Hamburg, uplifted by soulful melodies, combined with sounds from all over the world. His debut album will come in 2025 featuring artists from England, Uganda, Jamaika and Germany, showing DJ Suro in the center of his work: Connecting people and cultures.
