Jim Tetlow has been recording music since 1990, currently focusing on a hybrid music which draws from various traditions of electronic music both contemporary and retro while following his own intuitive path driven by his sense of sonic aesthetics. He has involved himself in Leicester's thriving music scene since 1997, playing in a number of bands/duos/projects covering a wide musical territory. Besides solo work, his collaborators include Ola Szmidt (Muted Fnord); Chris Conway (Memory Wire, Audible Light, Starfish Haiku); Steve Escott (InFlotation, The Inhabited Sky); Andy Atyeo (UV Spectra, Audible Light); the Freeman brothers (The Endgame, Extremities) and Julian Broadhurst (Tetlow & Broadhurst). He has also worked with Alessandro Monti in the latter's Unfolk project. Jim is mixmaster and musical curator of the remote collaboration project United Isolation Ensemble.
