After playing music together throughout their childhood, Jack Thomas, Justin Smith, and Kyle King decided to take a new musical direction. In December 2013, Etheria was formed. In October 2014, Etheria released their first demo album, “A Vicious Cycle.” A Vicious Cycle featured songs from the members former band, Plague. Immediately after, the band began work on their followup to “A Vicious Cycle”. After nearing completion in late summer 2015, drummer Jack Thomas suffered a workplace accident which severed much of his right arm. This required him to adapt his drumming style. In 2016, production of the album finally pushed forward. Produced by Jack, the album was recorded at Nimbus School of Recording Arts, located in Vancouver, British Columbia. In January 2017, the band was featured in a rejected Superbowl commercial by GNC. Despite an inspiring message at it’s core, the NFL rejected the commercial due to a small amount of league-banned substances present in GNC’s products.
