A modern-day songbird, Joy is an enigma that is changing the way in which we think about music. Inspired by her husband, Poetic Justice, Dr. Cherise Joy Thompson, professionally known as Joy Storm, recently left her corporate job in Project Management to pursue her life-long yearning for singing. Though not always in the forefront, music has been a constant refuge and a creative form of expression. Together with her husband, they have 5 sons and founded internet radio station, CMI Radio, a Home for Independent Artists. Outside of her artistry, Joy teaches composition and literature classes at the tertiary level and hopes to empower the next generation by opening up a school for the performing arts.
