As an essential part of the vibrant and diverse Viennese electronic scene, the multi-instrumentalist Peter Zirbs has released works under numerous pseudonyms, produced various artists and remixes, and scored a series of award-winning experimental films. Through the diversity of his work, he consistently transcended conventional genre boundaries over the years. Finally, in 2018, he stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist with his acclaimed debut album, "What if we don't exist?". Zirbs' musical blend of futuristic synth-pop, experimental and graceful ambient, as well as minimal music, even prompted an American music critic to liken it to Bowie's legendary album "Low". Following several collaborations and the indie hit "Locked In", which he co-wrote with former Archive frontman Craig Walker, along with his experimental instrumental EP "Splinters" (2021), Peter Zirbs released his second solo album "Melancholia Beach" in 2024.
