The two sisters that make up REVIE have overcome wild adversity in their years. Though they would agree-life wasn't easy, when asked what shaped them as artists they respond "It's the struggle that has brought us here. Their formative years were spent listening to their parents create and teach music, with Kourtney focusing on musical theater and Kyrsten honing her soloist skills, the two never expected to join forces until the summer of 2012. At first, it was a means to an end but Kourtney and Kyrsten couldn't deny the magic their voices had, together. REVIE was birthed. The influence of many genres is tucked away in their sonorous vocals, and captivating melodies. They emphasize alternative rock and the brilliant storyteller writers such as Joni Mitchell, and Paul Simon. The sisters' have meticulously crafted something that is new, yet familiar- as one of their fans touted "It's fresh, but it feels like home as well." There's no one in the industry like them and one day many will share that sentiment. For now, the two sisters focus on putting music out; songs that are being produced and mixed by Kyrsten herself. They have plans to tour the east coast and continue releasing music throughout the year.
