Brooklyn-born, LongLivePhoenix is a second-generation lyricist. Raised between Crown Heights and Bushwick, Phoenix was home-schooled in hip-hop, and his creative flux was nurtured since he was young. Closely coached by his father (a member of Dysfunkshunal Familee), he started to take the art seriously since he was 16. Phoenix's own life experiences have always been the primary source of inspiration. Evolving alongside his craft, his outlook has taken many forms over the years. On his latest incarnation, he's closing a chaotic chapter of his life, consciously obliterating boundaries, surpassing his most immediate surroundings to create. "Whatever emotion it may be, I have to live through something and experience it. I find peace in chaos" – he comments on his new project, ‘The Festival Tour’.
