Ray Espiritu, otherwise known as Omoidé is a Chicago-based producer and musician. As a child, he initially took an interest in playing the violin and began to learn how to play the drums as a teenager while also performing in a pentecostal church. He had a voracious appetite for listening to a wide variety of music as a teen, spanning anywhere from stoner metal and math rock to ultimately discovering J Dilla and the works of the Soulquarians. Needless to say, these listening experiences have informed who he is as a producer, and he took an interest in blending different rhythms, harmonies, and melodies from various genres and regions of the world to create a kind of neo soul, afrosamba fusion in his newest forthcoming project and follow-up to WHAT YOU MAKE IT, titled Full Circle. While is he most known for his frequent features and eventual takeover episode on Soulection Radio, as well as a prolific Soundcloud track record, he is determined to prove that bedroom producers are here to stay and can punch above their weight as standalone artists as well.
