Cuban born and Spanish based pianist and producer, Ivan «Melon» Lewis is a Latin Grammy winner who is recognized as one of the most talented and influential pianists of his generation. In the 90s “Melon” was noted for his work with the Cuban singer Issac Delgado, establishing an era with an inimitable sound. Living in Spain since 1998 he collaborated with several of the most important Spanish and European artists; Joan Manuel Serrat, Joaquín Sabina, José Luis Perales, Sole Giménez, Charles Aznavour, Mariza and the renowned Spanish singer Buika just to name a few. With his own quartet, “Melon” recorded two albums (Travesía and Ayer y hoy) and participated in the most remarkable jazz festivals around the world; Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Jazz in Marciac or SFJazz in San Francisco, among many others. In 2021, he was awarded a Latin Grammy for Best Jazz Album "Voyager".
