Dating back to 2015, teddybear’s songwriting has been an enigmatic element behind some of the underground's most influential projects (BLANKTS, MISOGI, Give My Remains to Broadway, Suicide, Part 2). Following the success of the singles 2 Yrs Late, Threads (feat. Blankts), & Spit On My Heart, Teddy made his mark as a songwriter by contributing lyrics to the entirety of MISOGI’s 2017 album Death Metal. teddybear gained respect as a solo artist with the self-released singles Anxious and Velvet Skin, being described as "an instantly recognizable voice with a refreshing approach to lyricism". Partially released as singles from 2017-2019, teddybear quietly shared his completed debut album Bread & Butterflies in February of 2020, creating and pioneering a post emo-rap realm of his own. In the summer of 2022, Teddy joined the Toronto-based band Give My Remains to Broadway as a songwriter and second vocalist, going on to become the primary songwriter of all 10 songs on their debut album My Will Is Not My Own.
