Raised in the vibrant South Side of Chicago, Jonny Ra found his musical roots nurtured by the influences of his older cousins, who exposed him to the works of The Diplomats, Jay-Z, and Lil Wayne. Upon his graduation in 2014, Jonny further pursued his academic ambition, completing his Masters in July 2016. However, his heart remained tethered to music. Post-graduation, Jonny marked a significant milestone in his career when he sold out his debut Chicago show, performing as an opening act for the renowned Prodigy of Mobb Deep prior to his unfortunate passing.
