Hailing from the South of Western Australia, but calling the red dirt home, Nicky Robson's music is as varied & unique as the landscape around her. With a wide variety of influences Nicky's music has a voice of its own & not tied into a particular genre. Aiming to replicate the ideal that it has to make you feel something & bring a sense of connection. Growing up listening to everything from Paul Kelly to Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac to Pearl Jam, John Williamson to Smashing Pumpkins Nicky developed a deep appreciation for the way music can touch your soul. Nicky's blend of acoustic country, bluesy rock takes you on a subconscious journey, invokes a deep emotional connection & leaves you wanting more. Raised in the small country town of Darkan, Nicky was always drawn to the art of music & storytelling. Throughout her school years Nicky was learning piano, guitar and began writing poetry. Soon after she developed the talent for putting those words to music. Ineptly shy, Nicky kept her songs to herself for some years until she stepped out of her comfort zone & into the local music scene in Geraldton. With the support of some amazing mentors Nicky was selected for WAM's Songs of the Midwest project. Nicky stepped into the recording studio to record Georgina Hills, before taking to the stage. Nicky has been performing locally for the past few years. Now focusing on writing & recording, Nicky has her first independent track released with more to come in the near future.
